Motivation for Soldiers

Today, many men and women join the army because of the patriotism in the US. There are also other reasons as well. Like, in the Civil War many people wanted adventure so they joined the army. Sometimes, (in the Civil War) they joined because of they wanted their side Union or Confederacy to win which shows the patriotism for their side.   The soldiers also wanted the money for joining the army to help their families back home. Today, men and women join because they are patriotic and loyal to the US.

  1. Well, not every men and women join because of patriotism. They have other reasons like no work or for fun. Soldiers may seem dedicated to fight in the war, but they could do it because that's all they have to do. But still patriotism is a big reason why people are in the military.

  2. Patriotism isn't the only motivation for soldiers to volunteer. Many factors from the time of the civil war is still part of today's reasoning. For example, peer pressure and money were big contributors for the many volunteers today. Many still want money for their families as well are forced to do service as well.

  3. Patriotism isn't the only reason men and women volunteer to join the military. A lot of people join because they need the recruitment money to help and support their family. Some people join because they have nothing else in their life that they want to do, so they seek adventure. Many people do however, believe that they should join the military to serve the country, and protect the country and its people from harm.

  4. I don't think that patriotism isn't the only reason to join the army. Joining just because of patriotism would be pretty hardcore. there are other thing solders get motivated by such as benefits, money, education, etc.
